That's better. A little lemonade and coffee cake and I'm good as new. Neither one of these are all that great. The 1c has a horrible thin. On the 50c, there is something going on with the 'E' in Western.
Yes the one cent green does look like it is damaged in the upper left corner . The 50 cent stamps does look used and that shows up better in the large scan .
There is a important lesson here for new collectors who view your picture . Try to avoid having lower quality stamps mixed in the same set as some high price stamps . That only lowers the value of the whole set ,plus it is easy to correct . The lesson is try to make or purchase stamps of equal quality thru out the whole set .
I have a much nicer 1c that is an enscription single. I should be on the lookout for a mint 50c but I am on a buying freeze over the summer. About to spend a lot of money on a trip through Quebec.
Here's the next completed Steiner page in my Austria album. On the bottom row I have added two stamps, the first and third which are perforation varieties of the 20K and 200K regular paper stamps, the only granite paper one is the middle one, 10,000K. I wanted to keep the symmetry of the page with these, but they could be confused as all being on granite paper.
Steiner page 19 is next. The extra 3 Groschen stamp at the top is a color variety listed in the Austria Netto catalogue, but not in the Scott Standard Catalogue that I am using (2012).
