I like seeing all these maximum cards / maxicards here...
I appreciate them for what they are (nice creations of Australia Post, in general), and I don't criticize them for what they are not (maximum cards compliant with the current regulations of FIP Comission for Maximaphily).
Those regulations reject postcards created specially for the issuance of maximum cards by a National Post.
A true maxicard should be created with "a commercial postcard previously available", before the issuance of the new stamp(s).
There are other finer points in the rules about that, but this is the main point.
Well, unlike FIP CfM, I appreciate, as I said, even such "philatelic cartons" as some purists call them, and I enjoy their contribution to our personal collecting pleasure. :)
Since USPS has issued only a handful of maximum cards, for very few stamps, most of my maxicards are collector-created.
