Not really an Australian collector 22c I have bought a few for investment, but the rest are not solid and my scans of the bridges are poor. Something to look into though.

Funny how the conventional screening is more pleasing to my eye...you'd think it would offer less "resolution" and suffer because of it.
I realize that perceptions may differ on this point. |

Hi Cjd I totally agree, they are much more pleasant to view. Argentina has many stamps that have been printed in more than one printing system. The left stamp was printed in photogravure and the right in offset-litho : |

The following Nigerian stamps were printed by the Nigerian Security Printing & Minting Co. Limited, Lagos as part of a definitive set between 1973 - 1980. As per Scott in both lithography and photogravure versions and colour varieties. Scott 294 offset Scott 294b photogravure Scott 294a emerald fields photo? Dark emerald below This one appears to be printed via photogravure but the fields are neither emerald nor yellow green as listed in Scotts. |

Hi Jorge, I really enjoy the variety you have posted here. Searching for stamps with different printing techniques, printers, etc is a a major enjoyment for me, I've been trying to find some more examples myself but can't find any more. Since you are also interested in the same stuff perhaps you might like checking out this site http://www.stampprinters.info/dummystamps.htm Dummy Stamps Newsletter. It is mainly about testing labels from different printers, mostly British but also some others. |
