The Common Agama lizard ( Agama agama) is found in most of Subsaharan Africa. Rodboon, and issued by Laos on December 7, 1967, Scott Nos. 156-59. - nethryk Banded krait ( Bungarus fasciatus), engraved by Roger Fenneteaux.  Marsh or mugger crocodile ( Crocodylus palustris), engraved by Georges Bétemps.  Malayan pit viper ( Agkistrodon rhodostoma), engraved by Jacques Gauthier. Grass snake ( Natrix natrix), designed by Liechtensteiner graphic artist Louis Jaeger (aka Jäger), printed by photogravure, and issued by Liechtenstein on December 6, 1973, Scott No. 540. Despite its nonvenomous subject, this stamp reminds me of the adder ( Vipera berus) in the memorable titles sequence for the superb 1976 BBC Television series I, Claudius, adapted from the novels of Robert Graves. - nethryk  |

The first Jamaica snake is scary up close. I always wanted to visit but now, hmmm, maybe. Kampuchea (new Cambodia) 1983, part of a set of seven, just found this in kiloware. Reptile / lizard / saurien stamp  |
