This stamp, from Finland's May 7, 2003 "Summer Gardens" miniature sheet of six, .65 stamps, depicts a moor frog (Rana arvalis). The moor frog is native to Europe and Asia. Its Latin name means "frog of the fields."

On January 21, 1965 the Federal Republic of Germany issued this stamp (Mi. #462) to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the death of German poet Matthias Claudius (1740-1815).

The 18th century hat illustration includes three frogs.

What a great thread!!! My youngest daughter used to collect frog stamps when she was about 10-12 years old.

Here are two endangered frogs, issued by Czechoslovakia on July 18, 1989:

European Fire-bellied Toad (Bombina bombina):

Yellow-bellied Toad (Bombina variegata):

There are more 2 stamps in the set show other amphibians (newts) but I can't find a thread about amphibians.
