I'm not a collector of stock certificates, but I do love these things with the ornate designs and unsurpassed printing quality. Probably railroad enthusiasts would enjoy them, too. |

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. I would love to see some for the railroads that ran between Chicago and St Louis. |

Cool! Thanks. Do you have any from the Union Pacific, GM&O or Illinois & Central? |

The Penn Central was formed in 1968 from the merger of the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central. They operated until 1976. |

I'm thinking of starting a "Monopoly" and become a robber baron for the Pennsylvania RR, Reading RR, B&O RR, and Short Line RR. Now that would be a cool set of stock certificates & bonds! |

I picked up a Pennsylvania RR and Reading RR stock certificates so I am on my way to completing my Monopoly. I'll have to wait until I pass go again though before I can buy more with my $200. Come on double sixes! LOL! |

Just picked up a Gulf, Mobile, & Ohio Railroad (GM&O) from 1945 today at a model train show. |

StamperDude, I suspect this one ran between those 2 cities. What's nice is the RN Series Revenue stamp on the document. I also have Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company, 1920 Philadelphia Traction Company, 1920 |

wow beautiful! I live in an old Rail Road town on the NYC line in N.E.C.PA. and would just relish these! I have seen only 2 or 3 in real life and just love the fine lines and engravings. Stunning to think that someone laboured so long to make them! They rival US paper currency in beauty IMO. I bet they are expensive to collect huh? Interesting indeed! |

Stamp Lover,
Not too expensive, you just need to go to stamp shows, spend some time going thru their material. Then again, what's expensive is determined by one's budget. |
