The souvenir sheet reproduces Terra Sancta quae in Sacris Terra Promissionis Olim Palestina published in Amsterdam in 1629.

This 1984 stamp of Kuwait commemorates Arab Youth Day. A map of the Arabic world recognizing this event is shown in white.

On December 22, 1967 the Ryukyu Islands issued this stamp (Sc #166) to publicize the opening of television stations in the U.S. administered island chain.

The islands on the stamp are shown in a creative fashion. If a map of these islands (and Okinawa Main Island) were shown to scale, the viewer would see small, indiscernible shapes. The island with "KSGA" inscription is Ishigaki Island in the Yaeyama Region, and the island with the "KSDY" inscription is Miyako Island in the Miyako Region. Miyako Region is northeast of Yaeyama Region, and about 300 km southwest of Okinawa Main Island.

The stamp shows a map of the Italian peninsula of 1695 called "Italy with its post offices and main roads".

Here is the low value 7 drachma value (Sc #1285) from Greece's December 28, 1978 map set of three. The designs of the three stamps are identical, the only difference being the color of the Mediterranean Sea. On the 7 d value it is baby blue, on the 11 d stamp it is light turquoise, and on the 13 d it is light violet blue.

On July 9, 1962 Papua and New Guinea issued a set of three, bi-colored stamps (SG #s 36-8) of this design in different colors to commemorate the 5th South Pacific Conference held in Pago Pago, American Samoa.

This modern postage paid label of Austria is inscribed "postage paid in cash". A map of the country is depicted with "Land Salzburg"/ Salzburg Province highlighted. Also shown is the Province's coat of arms.

The stamp shows a map of the Fiji Islands.

On November 22, 1974 Chile issued a set of four, 200 escudo stamps arranged in a se-tenant block to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Juan Fernandez Archipelago, a Chilean territory located in the Pacific Ocean 670 km (416 miles) west of the mainland. One of the stamps of this set (Sc #455a) depicts Robinson Crusoe Island, showing its global coordinates.
