Hi Everyone,
Last week I started building my own Ottoman Revenue Album and I came across to a series of stamp which the literature is not aligned.
These are auctioned as "additional fee" stamps yet I have noticed there is no alignment regarding the type of these revenue stamps in the catalogues and philatelic books.
Macdonald categorized these as part of Red Crescent stamps whereas Nilufer under National Defense. Come to Suleymaniye which took it to another level by having these stamps right after the National defense stamps as a new category of Aid stamps. So where these stamps belong??
Let me hear your thoughts.

I have Isfila as well it is mostly for postal stamps and restricted to some charity stamps. It does not have information on this revenue stamp.

I think you have to choose which catalogue you collect to, and go from there. Plenty of areas make the collector make this choice.

My data is limited. I think of McDonald's Revenues of Ottoman Empire and Republic of Turkey as the go-to. It might not be the best(?), but for an ancillary interest area, it is enough (for me). Your mileage might vary.

Is this a great hobby, or whaaat?
