It's still not clear, but it definitely looks like the top arc of the C has a bit of the slash crossing it.

It is the listed variety. This is not a molecular science project wherein there are nine different catalog listings for various states of the "c" for this stamp. As has been seen ten thousand times here, an answer is given but not accepted because someone sees a "rarity" with the attendant $$$$$. Bet?

Look I'm sorry that I'm dense when it comes down to this eco system. So the answer is Yes,correct?
Yes you have had positive identification of this variant? You know it all to well, and perhaps had duplicates of this 3cent denomination? I'm just trying to understand. I know it can be difficult dealing with someone with such a low degree of knowledge like myself. Is this rare or not. Is it objectively a common stamp, or is it a common stamp? Thank you all for having to put up with me

Please look back again at the replies. Here is one of them:

It's just as eyesonthewall says - "defect in cent sign". Here's the picture from the Scott's US Specialized Catalog. $5 catalog value. Pretty much matches your pic.

So, a short answer is that it is not a common stamp, but it is a known variety with a listed catalog value of about $5. Your stamp matches what is known about this variety, with a small caveat that there may be very slight differences in the states of the "c" for this stamp. Any slight difference in the "c" would NOT change the value to any significant degree, so you can happily assume that your stamp has a catalog value of about $5.

So, not rare, relatively common, known catalog value.

I'm dense to han1mal, join the club, that's why for now I just come on here to read, read, and read some more and then learn and get the feel n' flow of the forum before I post anything.

I also need to buy a scanner and get a new computer.

Yesh yes, thank you gentlemen~ you are putting it properly. I can understand how I might be coming off, especially to the core heads. I am sincerely humble and inherently kind. I will try to make that more visible. Thank you for putting things together so I have a better understanding.
Hx
