I have an older Durland plate number catalog and the Maniker Americana reference manual. They both have the plate numbers listed for both types of gum (shiny and dull) of all the stamps of the Americana series of stamps EXCEPT the 4 cent one (U.S.#1585). I know that #1585 used both types of gum. Can anybody give me a list of the gum types used for each plate number or if a newer Durland might have that information now ? Thank you.
Alan B - yes, Ronald Blanks said something about that one in his "Field Guide to Postal Uses of the Americana Series" . . . There's a lot of info in that that I never knew before . . .
