Yes Rod

There is some very strange expectations from some buyers I must admit.

Some even make us laugh more than cry. A good responce is...It keeps us happy.

Nothing selling. Very little action.

Have split the lots up into smaller ones.

Japanese kiloware is hot.

Prices on the stuff from Japan are way up compared to years ago.

So is shipping.

One seller that I used to buy from now wants US$10.50 to mail the stamps.

Another charges US$12.50..

Used to be able to get the 1000 stamp lots for US$20 - 25 including shipping.

Now with the higher prices, higher shipping, and the beautiful extra 10% GST charged on top of the total price, the cost is in the mid US$40's

Not worth it anymore as the current kiloware lots are now about 80% small sized stamps and only 20% 'normal' stamps.

Those small sized stamps are almost worthless and most lots have a lot of duplication with few of the higher valued 52 and 63 yen smaller stamps.

And one seller that has decent prices refuses to ship to Australia even though airmail letter 'packages' are ok.

So looks like no more Japanese kiloware for me for a while.

Looking at some of the recent kiloware sales from Japan on eBay, I was a little 'off' on the actual prices............

Some sold for A$72 and adding the 10% GST would bring the price to just under A$80!

Most appear to be in that A$45 plus range.

And that is for 1000 on paper stamps.

The 21 stock books holding complete decimal sets have sold to a buyer I know very well.

It looks like the end of KGV Used Stamps as the stock goes out the door. Have received only 450g of recent kiloware so far this year. It is the end of wild harvest stamps as we have all known it.

KGV Used Stamps eBay store will be kept and refreshed as a 2nd plant store for heavy and large plants and tissue culture glass flasks.

The funds from the sale of KGV Used Stamps stock has purchased item for our climate controlled propagation chamber 2.25m x 2.1m x 6.5m.

Have purchased out of China, 25 of the latest LED grow lights and a sterile work bench/cabinet called a horizontal laminar flow bench. It give us 1.2m of sterile work area for tissue culture. The grow lights make light towers with 5 light levels per 60cm x 60cm x 2.250m light towers. We can now hold 16 light towers with the tissue culture facility as well. We also purchased an orbital shaker, sterilisation equipment, 2 x stainless steel work benches, 4,500 x tissue culture flasks and 1,000 x 72 cell plug trays. Plus all the sea freight costs to Australia.

It was very important to me for the sale of KGV stock to go to another businesses structure as solid furniture. Too be able to say this plant structure was purchased from stamps softens the blow of loosing KGV Used Stamps.
