As said, any experience with swanstamps as a source of kiloware, and how it compares to nordfrim?

Also, any other source of kiloware I should know?

Thanks!

Charly

My experience with Swan comes from a long time ago, so your results may vary. It's good to see them still chugging along and an indication they are likely still an excellent source for kiloware.

These were nice clean lots, close clipped, low damage as you would want. The attraction for me was always the 1 oz. and slightly larger groups which fit the budget, with the first making good samplers to see what you could get (variety, including higher values, time frame). Nordfrim always started at 100 g (3.5 oz.) minimum; I liked Nordfrim equally well.

With both companies, there is no longer the larger range of countries available – no sources, probably. Papua New Guinea was a favorite of mine, no longer available from either. I also liked what were touted as worldwide bank mixes, better values coming from overseas into businesses supposedly like banks, also seldom found today.

I'm not buying kiloware these days nor seeing Linn's to tell you of any other kiloware sources nowadays.

My experience with Swan, which is very recent, is favorable as well.

I would recommend them as well. They always use decent stamps on their mailings, which is an added bonus for me...

I still use Ebay as well as Weeda Stamps. Weeda Stamps is in B.C. Canada though, so not sure if buying from Canada is an option for you as there may be duty/import charges you incur depending on quantity purchased.

It seems like Swan might be a good place for me to start on kiloware, so I looked them up. Now that is the barest bones website I think I've seen for a business since the '90s. How are people ordering? I see they sell on Hipstamp. They also have an order form on their own website. I guess you can… *gasp*… mail in your order? They are truly old school!

Hopefully everything on the order form is also listed on Hipstamp.

They sell on eBay as ladydi221

This is not an endorsement.

My personal experience has been all positive, as indicated above...
