The oldest Jerusalem stamp in my collection is a stamp issued by the Ottoman State (Turkey) in 1919 shows the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem. it is overprinted to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the coronation of Sultan Mehmed VI (The original stamp, without the OP was prepared in 1918 to publicize the victory in Egypt and Palestine, but never issued for known reason):

One of the famous symbols of Jerusalem is the "Tower of David" also known as the Jerusalem Citadel, an ancient citadel located near the Jaffa Gate entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem. The citadel that stands today dates to the Mamluk and Ottoman periods. It was built on the site of an earlier ancient fortification of the Hasmonean, Herodian, Byzantine and Early Muslim periods, after being destroyed repeatedly during the last decades of Crusader presence in the Holy Land by Ayyubid and Mamluk rulers.

Thanks, Vayolene! Great stamp!

The Dome of the Rock is an Islamic shrine located on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem, built by the Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik in 691 CE. The site's significance stems from religious traditions regarding the Foundation Stone, rock at the heart of the shrine, which bears great significance for Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

The Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society is the oldest scientific and humanitarian organization in Russia.

The postage stamps depict the head of the society, the Holy Martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna Romanova, the sign of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society and the Sergievsky Compound in Jerusalem; in the fields of the postal block - an oriental landscape, a caravan heading to the city.

The Gorny, or Gornensky Convent is an Orthodox convent in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, under the jurisdiction of the Russian Spiritual Mission in Jerusalem (Russian Orthodox Church). Located in Ein Karem, 7 km southwest of the Old City of Jerusalem (Israel). The name "Gornensky" is associated with the fact that the monastery is located in an area that in the Gospel times was called a mountain (rus. gorny) country, that is, located on the mountains.

the monastery was founded thanks to the efforts of the Russian archimandrite Antonin Kapustin

the postage stamp depicts the Olive Monastery of the Ascension in Jerusalem, where the archimandrite was buried

Thanks Alexey and Lithographing for great stamps!!! The Russian Gorny Convent was a joint issue with Israel. To your excellent description let me add that several years ago, in 2007, the building of this convent was completed by adding the golden roofs. Here is the Israeli stamp:
