I came across the website for the postal history foundation. It looks like they sell kiloware. Has anyone here ever bought any? I am not posting a link as I am a new member. It looks like it may be a good deal--and it looks like a great visit if one would find oneself in Tucscon.

Great visit and some of the friendliest folks you will ever meet! Give yourself some time and don't forget to nose around the library as well! It is located on the opposite side of the entrance from the "stamp" portion of the building.

Has anyone ever purchased kiloware from them? It looks like if you are looking for large or high value kiloware (mines), it might be interesting. Their WW kiloware starts at $3 per ounce so I may order a few ounces to see what it's like.

I haven't yet. I did send them an email asking about some hard to find items I've been looking for. If I end up getting something, I'll likely add several ounces of kiloware to the order.

I sent them an email (which is says to do on their website) inquiring about some material. The person said that he would check on it--I never heard back from him and I ended up buying some of the material I was looking for from another source. I probably should buy a few ounces just to see.

Yeah, the Postal History Foundation.

I've bought the 1-lb package of off-paper stamps from them two times, in Spring and Fall of 2023. I got SO MANY great stamps both times.

They'll hook you up with countries and regions you request, so that's really nice. There are other countries mixed in as well.

It's now December 2024, and I saw their ad on Linn's, and I messaged them just a while ago about getting another lot. A little X-Mas gift for myself :-}

I'll post and let you know once I get my next lot :-}

So, I placed my order for the 1-pound lot of stamps from Postal History Foundation out of Tucson on Tuesday, December 10. I had communicated with someone who works there to make my country requests, and got the order finalized and paid for that day. Today (Saturday, December 14) I received my stamps. They arrived in the mail just a few minutes ago.

Priority Mail envelope is COVERED in older US commemoratives, including a full sheet of 15c Olympics stamps pasted on the back.

Inside, there are LOTS of stamps--I see representation from several of the countries I requested right there under the cellophane. Others are certainly there, just not showing through the bag.

I already see several that I need for my collection. These are going to be a lot of fun to sort through in the coming weeks.

This is my third order, and this one looks just as good--if not better--than the other two.

Strongly recommended! They have a Classified posted in Linn's Stamp News.

Pix attached are of the package I received today.

They used to sell kiloware by country on Ebay, ranging from a few ounces up to a pound. I've purchased from them a few times over the last couple years in an effort the find a good number of common material holes we all have in our collections, and have been more than happy with what I received each time.

I haven't seen them listing anything on Ebay over the last few months, so maybe they've abandoned that outlet for their sales. Their website also has offerings.

I hope to visit them in Tucson one of these days.
