Here is an image of a stamp depicting a coin of Kydonia, an ancient Greek city-state on the island of Crete, showing the legendary hero Kydon as an abandoned infant being suckled by a hound, engraved and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., and issued by Crete on February 15, 1905, Scott No. 77.

Here is an image of another stamp depicting an early Bermudian "Hogge Mony" coin, designed by C. Deakins of Hendon, London, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, engraved and printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co., Ltd., and issued for use in Bermuda on November 9, 1953, Scott No. 160.

Coins and letters, designed by Knut Løkke-Sørensen, printed by lithography, and issued by Norway on September 22, 1995 as one of eight stamps in a booklet commemorating the 350th anniversary of Norway Post, Scott No. 1108, Facit No. 1236.

i have been collecting coins since I was 12, 64 now, never actually thought about collecting stamps with coins on them, maybe will do that

Here is an image of a stamp depicting both sides of a one balboa coin minted in 1947, engraved and printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co., Ltd,. and issued by Panama on November 3, 1953 as the high value in a set of six stamps commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of Panama, Scott No. 394. Note: The design on the obverse of this coin is a portrait of Spanish explorer, governor, and conquistador Vasco Núñez de Balboa (c. 1475-1519), created by American sculptor William Clark Noble (1858-1938). The central figure on the reverse, designed by Panamanian artist Roberto Lewis (1874-1949), is an allegorical figure personifying "Liberty" and "Youth;" in her left arm is a fasces, and in her right hand she is holding an oak branch and the top of a shield bearing Panama's coat of arms.

The Introduction of the Euro (2007)



On 1 January 2007, Slovenia joined the euro area of countries sharing Europe's single currency since 2002. While the euro notes are identical for all countries, the euro coins have a common side showing the denomination and a distinctive national side featuring a design chosen by the country of issue.
