I have time for my stamps only on weekend. By now i'm collecting Malta on Steiner pages. I mounted stamps and update my Excel listing for each stamp. I bought last summer Scott British Commonwealth vol. 4 J-M on Scott online catalogue. I have 2007 Scott cat. on cd. In my listing I have both values, 2007 and 2016. It's always interesting to see the stamp value increase. |

Well I was going to work on making new excel page layouts for my specialized Canada album that I am creating (I use Vario Stockpages and the excel files act as a "road map" to know where to put stamps in the albums), but my database with all the pages I had created for the albums in my collection over the past two years somehow got corrupted, and the backup came up corrupted as well. Have submitted the file to be fixed via a free online app, but it takes a couple days to receive the download of the fixed file. Guess I could start another country's file in the interim. But grrr this was not how I was planning to spend my day off. |

A few days ago I received some W/W Airmail stamps that I had bought. So Saturday I was able to fill some empty spaces in my Chile and Colombia albums. Today I received in the mail an envelope from a first time trade partner that is in Spain. I had sent him some older German stamps and he sent me some W/W Airmails and a few USA stamps. It took a week for my letter to get to him and 3 weeks for his letter to get to me. We both sent on the same day.
It's always good to receive a trade in the mail! Tomorrow I plan to add the stamps I received to my albums.

I got a clean list of what I want in my US album (minor varieties) and now going back to check what I have and organized. The real challenge is finding the definitives since many are not organized in the year they were issued. |

I'm keeping up with my literature (Linn's, APRL, American Philatelist, specialist journals), but that's about it. Haven't done much real serious "stamping" since early January. Still trying to get my French material ready for going to auction. I've kept that as my sole priority for the year. |

Sorting through a big pile of US precancels won on Ebay. Great fun for 10 bucks. |

Each morning, I spend the first 30 minutes working on my Blue. Either noting catalogue numbers, moving stamps in, or a bit of both
I have a home office. Knowing this is how I will start the day, makes getting up easy. 30 minutes isn't much, but multiply that by 300 or so days a year....and that's progress. |

I have a full time job but have been putting in 2 hrs weekdays and up to 5 hrs on weekends. I will get up read the paper, check all my internet things, and then get into working on my collection. The wife gets up later and now it is dark so plenty of solo time. |
