General Rules

You buy, sell and trade here at your own risk. Stamp Community will not be held responsible for anything or be required to investigate anything.

You must have 50 posts to start a topic or reply in this forum.

Maximum three active topics at a time with each topic containing a specific single stamp or lot.

Posts may be edited for 15 minutes only. So check your post immediately.

Listing format must be clear. Auction, Pocket it Now, or Best Offer.

Payment options must be clear. You may not use any wording that suggests getting around Paypal fees whatsoever, including asking for additional money to cover them. Stamp Community will not be a part of cheating PayPal. There is no argument that will change our mind so please don't bother trying. Listings that break this rule will be removed. If we find out you are even suggesting it after the fact there will be repercussions. It's free to sell here so just get over it, if you can't just sell somewhere else.

Topics may be moved to the ended section by using the Report Post link and letting us know it's over.

Topics over 60 days old will be removed.

No extraneous chatting in topics will be permitted.

You must be a participating member. If we discover that you are primarily selling, rather than primarily participating in the discussion forums, action will be taken.

Auction Specific Rules

Auctions must have a crystal clear ending time, using forum time, to the minute. Maximum 10 day length.

Auctions are over at the time specified, therefore bids posted at that time, are not valid.

Auction bid increments must be even dollar amounts, no cents. No exceptions. Invalid bid amounts do not count and will be deleted by the Staff when seen.

Sniping is allowed. The Staff is not going to try and sort out what is sniping and what isn't. Ever. The last valid highest bid wins. Stamp Community is not responsible for late bids no matter what the reason is, or you think it is. Members complaining about sniping, in public or private, will be suspended for two weeks for the first offense.

This is better than the 4-figure version?

According to 98% of the members absolutely. 98% stopped selling the day I started it.

Sorry, I am confused.

So may I still post a link to an Ebay auction? Do I need to limit the number of items linked to three?

Apologies if this seems obvious, but it isn't to me. Thanks.

@Stamps1962:

You can absolutely continue to post your eBay Auctions -- they go in the "Sales Promotion" forum:
http://goscf.com/f/7

There is no 3-item limit to those postings.

The rules above apply to selling items here on SCF.

The reason we limit to 3 and force each topic to be one item or lot is to keep listings fresh, and so feedback can be left. Ended items will be moved to the ended forum and the buyer can post feedback in the topic when the item is received.

If we allow twenty items to be sold in one topic, then the seller removes items as they sell and all record of the transaction vaporizes.

"Listing format must be clear. Auction, Pocket it Now, or Best Offer." Can you post a couple of sample formats or provide a link to some old listing?

I apologize as I have been off the site for a while. It appears that the Forum here is back to allowing sales and auctions through this site??? That's great. I have never sold (I have purchased) and it seems those rules are very reasonable. Thanks for giving sales here another try.

So is the SCF Sales button dead or is it going to link to the new format?

Well yeah, then you would be out all those fees. Too much risk right?

Not sure what you mean, bobby131313. I just don't see how this works. I give lots of stuff away on SCF and pay the shipping costs, so risk and fees aren't much of a concern. I just don't see all these folks who "wanted" this format returned jumping in and offering material. I merely said I will leave SCF Sales to those who favorite it. I was familiar with $$$$ format. But that's just me.
