April 13, 1977
This set of four stamps showcases the pottery skills of the Pueblo Indians of Arizona and New Mexico. These designs from the people of Zia, San Ildefonso, Hopi, and Acoma were produced between 1880 and 1920.

KuoLC5310 - Great topic! Here is my first contribution:

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a potter working at his wheel and some pottery pieces, designed and engraved by French artist Jacques Combet (1920-1993), and issued by Saint Pierre & Miquelon on October 2, 1975 as one of two stamps in a traditional handicrafts set, Scott No. 441.

KuoLC5310 - Thanks. And ditto.

Guellala is a small town located on the south side of the island of Djerba. Blessed with rich deposits of clay, the town is famous throughout Tunisia for its pottery in a tradition going back many centuries. Here is an image of a stamp depicting a merry Guellala potter, designed by Tunisian artist Abdelaziz Gorgi (1928-2008), printed by photogravure, and issued by Tunisia on June 15, 1976, Scott No. 684.
