I will be indebted to all those who can point me to stamps that include an image of stars in a night sky. As I already collect madonna and child stamps, I'm not as interested in those stamps which depict the star of Bethlehem, though I certainly won't be averse to anyone including them in the list.

Your help much appreciated.

Hello, KG, Here is the star sign of the Swan, part of a set on astronomy, designed by Benjamin Blase, 1999. The old drawing on the stamp differs from the other old drawing: the figure Eidechse to the left of the swan looks like a dog! but is correctly drawn in the second map as a lizard. (Let me know if you would like the set. K.)

50th Anniversary of The Sky at Night show
February 13, 2007
The Sky at Night is a monthly documentary television program on astronomy produced by the BBC. The show had the same permanent presenter, Patrick Moore, from its first airing on 24 April 1957 until 7 January 2013 (Moore passed away on 9 December 2012). This made it the longest-running program with the same presenter in television history.
The six commemorative stamps depicts Saturn Nebula C55, Eskimo Nebula C39, Cat's Eye Nebula C6, Helix Nebula C63, Flaming Star Nebula C31, and The Spindle C53 Galaxy.

My personal favorite is C-53 - Alaska

It shows the Big Dipper with the North Star. Beautiful.
