The Ondøejov Observatory is the principal observatory of the Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. It is located near the village of Ondøejov, 35 km southeast of Prague.
The stamp features the dome of the 65-cm telescope and the dome of the 2-m telescope.

The Planetarium's 23-meter dome can seat some four hundred spectators viewing projections of the sky from both analogue and digital planetarium projectors. The observatory is equipped with a 30-cm telescope for conducting research on comets and minor planets.
