Angelina Pagano (1888-1962)

This 1971 Argentina stamp features Angelina Pagano, who was in 18 films between 1941 and 1949, but was better known for stage acting/theatre direction.

Sally Alina Ingeborg Salminen (1906 – 1976), from 1940 Salminen-Dührkop, was an internationally renowned author from Vargata, the Åland Islands, Finland. She was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature three times.

Fanny Sundström (1883 – 1944) was a teacher, politician and women's right activist in Åland, Finland. After becoming a primary school teacher, she took an active part in the "Martha Movement" and worked for social improvements.

Marie Salomea Sklodowska–Curie (née Sklodowska; 1867 – 1934) was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person to win a Nobel Prize twice, and the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two scientific fields.
