I've tried for along time coming up with a way to display a certificate for an item. I finally figured I could scan the cert and print it on the opposing page to the stamps it refers to. I use Scott Specialty pages and a large format printer to layout the pages. Here is yesterday's result.

"Complete" as I have defined my goals, which is 1 stamp at a minimum per series in Big Blue Vol 1. Gold Coast became Ghana upon independence from the British Crown in 1957.

Not quite. Ghana became a dominion (like Canada or New Zealand) in 1957, and a republic in 1960.

Another completed classic Canada page. Making slow progress in completing sets but not pages. Will hopefully be posting more in the near future.

Was able to purchase a "Holy Grail" set for my collection, the Kelantan 1937-1940 "Chef's Hat" Definitives (Scott 29-43, Gibbons 40-54). My father had this set in his collection, bought in the 1960s when Malay States were unpopular, and I helped him sell it in the early 2000s when the Malay States had become one of the hot areas of philately. I've always loved the set, and wanted to have it in my collection. A dealer was offering a Mint light hinged set at just under 60% of CV and given how rare this set comes up I decided to take the plunge. And I am very happy I did.

Well done! Malay States aren't a cheap proposition these days.

US Parcel Posts, MNH*

Started with Q11 in June 2019. Finished with JQ5, September 2024.

*all "MNH" except: Q10, JQ4, and JQ5 have slight gum disturbance.

Q8 has PF certs 0259050 & 567896

My daughter wants no part of my stamp collection, so I will begin liquidating in everything when I retire in about 2-3 years.

Finally got the last one in the series. It's surprising what can happen when you toss in a few "Hail Mary" bids in an auction when only one other person is bidding, albeit weakly. This was truly a nice and unexpected win, but I'll take it. I've had a few like that which went the other way.
