Almost human emotion was a struggle of Astro Boy... I don't remember if other robots had the same problem or not, though. These stamps were issued on the year when the Astro Boy's story started in the original cartoon series, to celebrate the long lived creation started in 1952. 73 years apart, but sharing same numbers of hearts in similar position. They are sisters, I guess. But the love for stamps by stamp issuers then and now are different. Could anyone give me an insight how to know details of a Danish stamp, before printed in a catalogue? Postnord does not tell anything once the stamps are sold out, or even no descriptions on their online shop...

tomonakaazu thank you so much for this post. The set of Danish stamps with hearts on them might be the earliest postage stamp to include a heart.

Do you or anyone else know of an earlier stamp?

The Danish Wave definitive set from 1905 (starting with 1 ore orange SG109, Scott#57) had 18 hearts on each stamp.

Hi Bruce - I love to magnify stamps and so glad when I found those tiny hearts. And the post by 22crows is amazing! - more hearts and even smaller!! I checked through my Danish collection if I had one of those, but don't (yet).

To the response to Bruce's question, I have one below which is older than 1946 - and I think the object in the cross above the monument is a heart, but not 100% sure - it lools a bit... real.
