This is a 1992 French set of six composer stamps featuring:
1) Arthur Honegger (SN FR B645), 2) Cesar Franck (SN FR B642), 3) Erik Satie (SN FR B643), 4) Florent Schmitt (SN FR B644), 5) Georges Auric (SN FR B646), and 6) Germaine Tailleferre (SN FR B647)

I wish the USPS would issue a Michael Jackson stamp. I think it's long overdue.

I think it is highly unlikely that the USPS will issue a Michael Jackson stamp given all the controversy around him. Obviously, an extraordinary musician, but I don't think he can be on a stamp.

Posting two sets of stamps from Germany. The first is a celebration of three composers who had major anniversaries in 1935. J. S. Bach and G. F. Handel who celebrated their 250th birth anniversary that year and the 350th birth anniversary of Heinrich Schutz. The second set is from 50 years later, when East Germany celebrated the same 3 composers once again on the 300th and 400th anniversaries of their births.

This 1956 French cover features the composer J. B. Lulli (1632-1687). The stamp is Scott Number FR 812 and the FDC is from Nov. 10, 1956

Another FDC, this one coming from West Germany in 1968 featuring Richard Wagner and his opera Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg. The stamp is Scott Number DE 987 and the FDC is dated June 21, 1968. Also of note is the wonderful fancy cancel featuring the opera house at Bayreuth.

That Monaco Beethoven stamp is among my favorites of the composer. I really like the profile view and the color palette.
