Poland 2000, "PREHISTORIC ANIMALS - DINOSAURS "

It represents reconstructions of animals, whose skeletons were discovered in the Gobi Desert by Polish-Mongolian Paleonthological Expeditions in the years 1963-1971.

Wow the Messel pit looks like a really fun place to poke around! I'm going to Essen Germany in a few weeks so maybe I can check it out while I'm there?

A little early horse (Propalaeotherium). This reconstruction is the size of a dog, a terrier mutt. On show in Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt



Fossil of the hourse is depicted on German stamp of 1978
