Fifia showed the modern postman on the Austrian 1974 UPU stamp
on the previous page.

Here is an image of a semi-postal stamp depicting a French rural mailman, 1830, designed and engraved by Pierre Béquet, and issued by France on March 16, 1968 for Stamp Day, Scott No. B416, Y&T No. 1549. Love his hat!

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a French city mailman in 1830, semi-postal stamp designed and engraved by Pierre Béquet, and issued by France on March 14, 1970 for Stamp Day, Scott No. B440, Y&T No. 1632.

I like this tribute to Postmen/ Mail Carriers, some great stamps shown

carebear, that's a great set of stamps from SG. I received the set on a cover from a friend last year, and it is one of my favourite covers - please excuse the reposting
