Buy a new Scott National Supplement. It will be punched for both 3 ring and 2 post binders. Use that as a template to repunch your old pages. I think they'll fit in any binder at that point.

No, they will only fit in standard three ring binders. Lighthouse, Schaubek, Lindner and others have their own proprietary designs as Geoff pointed out.

You are correct. They will fit any standard. My thinking was that, despite the sheets being oversized, they will still fit in a standard Avery/Staples brand binder.

Agree with Alub. Wizard has large three ring National binders for $50 with free shipping.

Interesting. I can't find this on Wizard's site, but if it has metal hinges, that's a pretty good price. I settled on the Mystic Heirloom album after research, and then I replaced the 3 binders (I think now there are 6 smaller binders), with 3 Mystic ESDC3, binder + slipcase $35.95 each. https://www.mysticstamp.com/Product...s/ESDC3/USA/
And to round out the fun, matching labels: https://www.mysticstamp.com/Product...ies/LB1/USA/

It's a nice binder, maybe not best of the best, but very good. And no metal hinges. So far they're holding up, but without metal, it's really only a matter of time...

Thanks! I see a matching slipcase is $31. I'd buy that binder and use the slipcases I have. But it would be total indulgence for me at this stage. Next time I need a binder though…

That's the same price Amos charges on their website.

One binder I have become a big fan of is the Avery Heavy Duty Frame View Binder:

I can't find these in stores anywhere.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006IEMA/

They have nice D-rinfs with ball and socker closures, and you can print out inserts for the front and sides.

I get of annoyed when I see very expensive binders use cheap binder rings in them. And then I see cheap binders (these are $8.99 on Amazon) use better quality binder rings.

Avery usually has pretty good stuff I've found. This would probably be a good money saver as compared to the Mystic. To be honest, I would say the ring mechanisms on the Mystic is maybe somewhere between "good" and "better". But they're embossed and look nice (I guess I'm a sucker for that). That's a bit stupid I suppose; I'm a lot more interested in what I see when both the front and back of the binder are against the tabletop.

Mystic's binders are fine. The only thing I am not a fan of is the size of the binder. I prefer 1" binders.

As far as binder rings go, I think the ball and socket rings in the high end Avery binders are very nice. The ones Mystic uses in their regular binders is very nice for a zig-zag style ring. The rings in the premium binder I am not a fan of. I only have one premium binder, and one of the rings won't close all the way. I bent it into shape, but that weakened all the rings. They now open very easily.

I may be wrong on this, but I think the most expensive part of a binder might be the ring mechanism, since it's solid metal. So, when you have to make a price point, you're going to pick a cheaper ring mechanism.

As much as I like ball and socket rings, I find they don't close as tight as good zig-zag rings. Especially on older binders. You get good quality binders from the 70s or 80s and it take brute force to get those rings to open.

Ok, I learned something today. And this is just a warning, in case you're doing a Google search for binders in a public area or at work.

A binder, is not only the item we know and love to store our stamp pages. It seems a binder is also a device you used by transgender people to push their breasts closer to their torso to make them look less feminine.

I went on YouTube and did a search on "binder review" hoping to find some brands of binders I was not familiar with, and had a much different experience...

No judgement. Just an FYI.

Hm. Well, that's going to happen when what we use for searching is tantamount to a gigantic instant global encyclopedia #129335;#8205;#9794;#65039;

I know what you mean about the Mystic rings. It's like you have to bend it into alignment even though you know it's going to do something to the mechanism. Pages grabbing on rings is worse.

I have had to take a file to remove burrs on edges of the rings to reduce snagging.
