This Costa Rican 1987 "Day of Science and Technology" stamp (Sc #386) depicts a technician milking the venom from a pit viper. The snake appears to be a Picado's pit viper (Atropoides picadoi).

On July 10, 2004 Lithuania issued a se-tenant pair of one lita stamps publicizing the Todas Ivanauskas Zoological Museum. One of these stamps depicts a stuffed and mounted green iguana (Iguana iguana).

From wikipedia, "The Tadas Ivanauskas Zoological Museum was established in Kaunas, Lithuania in 1919 by Tadas Ivanauskas (1882-1940). The museum collects and exhibits various animals: hunting trophies, stuffed animals, insect collections, skeletons and dissections."
