Waterlow re-engraved (1934). Cross hatched background behind the king's head

Horizontal lines background behind the king's head:

Bradbury Wilkinson printing = 22 3/4 mm hight (frame)

Waterlow 1913 printing = 22 mm. hight (frame)

De la Rue printing = 22 mm. hight (frame) and large teeth top left and right

Large and normal teeth at top

Got it. Thanks. I dont have the cross hatch backing. measurements are as listed - they are close. But none exactly as catalog states 22.1 so I figure 22 mm is very very close even If catalog reads "exactly". It's the teeth I cannot determine. Im leaning towards all De La Rue.

That 5s on the left-hand side is a re-engraved stamp and not a De La Rue stamp with large teeth at top.

So the other 3 2/6 half crown are de la rue also?

I'd say! That looks like a solid flip to Siegel if it could be had at that estimate. Probably a $3000 plus stamp at one of their auctions. They have never sold an unmounted mint corner margin copy. Two of the right bidders might get it well above 3k.

thats a good article. as noted, it helps to have an reference example of the teeth - which I didnt. And experience lacking here, I had no clue because to my untrained eye, both stamps are pretty close to each other teeth wise.
