I really thought that because of its intriguing and amusing illustration, this stamp would be unforgettable. But maybe it hasn't been seen enough to be unforgettable. Almost every country now bordering this one was guessed, but nobody came up with...Slovakia! One of the early guesses was Czechoslovakia, but this was not a stamp issued by that former country.
BTW: The picture on this stamp is a work by the German illustrator Einar Turkowski. Twould be interesting to know the story that goes with it.
Another quiz next Friday.

I was a little off course with my last guess...

But I can tell you a bit more about the subject/content of the stamp:
You need to read Einar Turkowski's children's book 'It was dark and strangely quiet' and look at his illustrations. He won the Grand Prix at the 21st Bratislava Biennial of Illustration with this book (and several other prizes worldwide).

Thank you, Zuerich4!
I'll be trying to track down more of Turkowski's work. This one I've seen on this Slovakian stamp is really imaginative.
