Thank you. I was able to find everything except the stamps with the inscriptions "Mittelfranken" and "Oberbayern". I dug through the entire Internet :(
The Oberbayern examples are insurance revenues from the early 1900s. There are issues from 1912 and 1917, I think, but I don't think I have a good list. I can look tomorrow. I assume the stamps were used for payment of premiums, but I don't know if they were paid monthly or quarterly. You might be able to find more information on the internet using that additional information.
I can't speak to the Mittelfranken examples, though the form of them might have me guessing that they filled a similar purpose.
From the picture of these stamps (Oberbayern) I was able to find something similar with the year of production here, I don't know how true it is: https://www.stampsofgermany.com/rev...lin-w498.htm Mittelfranken look completely different
You may want to see "Catalog of the old Bavarian railroad and revenue stamps 1870-1924" by Martin Erler. I have not seen this book so can't comment on its usefulness. Out of print but available from the APRL.
