I'm sorting out a number of the 5/- stockman issue and need a bit of help to clarify something.
When I refer to Stanley Gibbons it states their figure 142 the 5/- stockman is Wmk C of A for both Sg.327 and 327a. Sg.327a being on white paper issued June 1964.
I now refer to a post many years ago by ROB041256 where it shows:-
ACSC 373A) 1961. Northern Territory Cattle Industry. 5/-. Perforation 14½ x 14. Cream paper. No watermark. Purple-Brown
ACSC 373B) 1964. Northern Territory Cattle Industry. 5/-. Perforation 14½ x 14. Cream paper (intermediate). C of A watermark. Reddish-Brown
ACSC 373C) 1964. Northern Territory Cattle Industry. 5/-. Perforation 14½ x 14. White paper. No watermark. Bright Brown-Red
So The Australian Specialist Catalogue seems to contradict Stanley Gibbons in that if it has a Wmk it can only be 1964 cream paper – correct?, and that there are no 1964 white paper copies with a Wmk?.
The reason I ask is that I have what look like white copies with a C of A Wmk.
Hope you can set me straight.
