"1904 Haiti Independence Stamp - Possible Overprint Error? Experts' Opinion Needed!"

Hello everyone,
I recently came across two versions of the 1904 Haiti 100th Anniversary of Independence stamp, both featuring the overprint "1804 POSTE PAYE 1904".

The first picture is the normal issue of the stamp.
The second picture shows a suspicious variation that I believe could be considered an error.
I'm wondering if this is a known error or if it's something more obscure. From my research, I couldn't find much information on whether this specific variation is a recognized error.
I would greatly appreciate insights from more experienced collectors on whether this error is known, or if I may have uncovered something new.

Your stamp would fall into the "freak" category with a shifted vignette which is also considered a misregistration. It may have some additional value to a Haiti collector. Hard to say how much value.

i will check other stamps in my grandad collection to share for expert opinion

Based on that link, it actually appears that the original shifted stamp is genuine and the the other is the fake. Pay careful attention to the shading behind the portrait.
