I am seeking information about this tax stamp. Especially the years of issue, varieties and overprints/cancels Is there online information about these stamps?
Tax on Advertising Posters. Usually with typographic cancel, as illustrated. The stamp was applied to the paper before printing, so that the text tied and cancelled the revenue stamp at the time of printing.
Your example is dated from 1882. There are many different perforation varieties.
