Hi,

This is my first post here. I've inherited responsibility for selling my dad's life-long (98 year) collection, and the time I spend researching the stamps is just growing and growing. OK I admit it: I've fallen more than a bit for this mad stamp collecting thing!

I now would really like to keep the collection, but I have siblings and need to share any assets with them. So it would be great to identify a few key stamps that are valuable to sell to keep them happy and leave me with the rest of the collection to play with.

For example: do you guys think this is a genuine Russian stamp?

If so, do you think it's worth much?

Thanks

Falling for Phil

Hello. It's a genuine stamp, but it isn't worth anything. In essence, unless someone, over the years, spent real money - or was astute or lucky - on a collection, it's unlikely to be worth a great deal of money. The value would have been in the fun.

Thanks for your reply. It is fun, isn't it?

I must admit I'm becoming a little obsessive!
