But that says nothing about a good lightning strike which just took out the Leggett, California Post Office.

See here for video: https://www.foxweather.com/weather-...ghtning-fire

From the look of being burn to the ground in a thin ash pile, I doubt much will make it into a we are sorry postal body bag.

I live near the town of Leggett and Garberville. We are still having lightning and thunder and hail and snow. Other areas have lightning strike fires in the heavy rain and snow.

There could be some actual damaged in handling markable mail after all since the exterior drop box survived. If it contains mail and said mail show signs of heat or water damage then there will be some collectible postal service damaged postal history.

Edit:

Yes she is telling us all in spite of human ego driven thinking, she bats last and cares not about human nor any other for of life. She, Mother nature is the nemesis of all. If the organism was lucky enough to arrive alive it is still up to the organism to fight to live until its inevitable extinction; no exceptions allowed. She also has made greater changes than humans can ever hope to make with includes the erasure of 99.97% of the species which have lived on the wet rock ball. A rock ball which itself is only temporary.
