It looks like a fair deal to me - not a bargain but not a rip off either. US postage prices can be very off-putting, I am very selective in what I buy from the US these days and go for people who charge the least postage by and large. Because I'm very mean!
Yeah, I have no regrets. It's been really fun and educational! I prefer to get exceptional deals though. So now that I have a little experience, I feel like I can go forward with a keener eye.
Actually, I'm expecting a package this week that I'm pretty excited about! I got a pretty sweet deal as long as it arrives as promised!
I'd have been happy with that. I'm still at the stage where buying kiloware fills lots of gaps in my relative small WW collection. As other have said, if you work out the enjoyment cost per hour from sorting and mounting it really is a relatively cheap way to have fun. Enjoy!
For me, I don't separate shipping cost from package price: Both combined are the price that I paid for that lot. If one dealer says that the package is 1$ and the shipping is 50$, the other says that the package is 50$ and free shipping - is there a difference? Not for me. At the bottom line, I consider the total cost, the total amount of stamps, the total different stamps, and the calculated price per stamp.
My preferred stamp cost: Different stamps - 1.50$ per 100 stamps. Package with duplicates - third of that.
