Hi, I got these stamps from Costa Rica from around 1907. They have five precancel bars, and one of them also says 'Habilitado'.
What does this do to the value of the stamps?

I'd like to add this Costa Rica stamp in excellent condition with the same question. My best guess it's a Scott 88 but with cancel bars.

This website mentions remnant stock of old stamps were sold at auction. After the auction stocks were invalidated by five horizontal bars. Most stamps invalidated this way are worth less than normal stamps. Some rare ones can be worth more.

Scott notes these as remainder cancels, from a large group sold off long ago at a large discount. A few are very scarce but likely only of interest to a specialist, otherwise most are of minimal value.

"Habilitado" overprints are a later separate issue. It means that older and probably obsolete stamps were again usable as postage when so overprinted.

I found http://www.socorico.org/auction-214.php see items 007 and 008. - so none of the first batch are one of the scarce ones, it seems.
Still struggling with the 5 centimos. https://estampillascr.com/blog/prod...cancel-bars/ and https://estampillascr.com/blog/prod...-ultra-rare/ suggests the stamp's nephews 2, 10 and 25 centimos are at least worth something. This stamp of nowhere to be found on the web.
