The book that your photo comes from appears to be one of those magic photo albums, with the sticky lines. If so, please remove all of your paper items from it. Those type photo albums will damage paper as they are not acid free.

On that note. In your opinion would the acids in the glue do damage to the gum ridges in a unused never hinged stamp.

In my experience, photo albums of this kind will damage the backs of anything, including photos. Stamps should be kept away from them.
