1 Cent, Is It A 5B Or 7? Not Sure

trying to get the 1 cent Franklin figured out, its hard.

with this one I come to 5B or 7...but I might be totally wrong

please help me on this one

Looks like recut at bottom. Scott 9?

On eBay they call it "poor man" Scott 5. But it is scott 9. It sells at much higher premium than other 9's.
Personally I find this disrespectful to such an important position piece that on early plate (1E) furnished Scott 5 type 1

Yes, Scott #9, position 7R1L. The top row positions of Plate 1 Late are all recut at bottom only (either once or twice), but often the top frame line is dark enough so that it looks as strong as the bottom frame line, which gives the impression of Type II (Scott #7) when the bottom frame line is recut only once. You have to look at plating marks and guide dots to identify the type and Scott number with these examples.
