Maybe it's time for us to create our own list of trustworthy sellers..

A feedback system is good ,but,
Tread very carefully on this one.
A bad or neutral feedback could be given although Sometimes the fault may not lie with the seller.
An example would be an honest mistakes or Post office errors.
It would be shame to sully the name of a seller if it is warranted.

David....

I agree........but I am not referring to feedback. I simply meant that we could each post a list of sellers we have bought from that we trust to give anyone decent items and service.

Maybe we it would be easier to create a list of sellers to avoid. It would certainly be a shorter list. Or, instead of posting a list we could trade lists by email. It would be very easy for me to provide a link to a dozen or more sellers that I buy from on a regular basis.

Personally, in about about 7 years of buying & selling I have had only 1 buyer refuse to pay and just 2 orders that never arrived. And, I have had just 2 or 3 sellers that left me somewhat dis-satisfied with their material or service. The overall majority of buyers & sellers I've had contact with have been very decent people and there are many, many others that are still trying to develope a reputation for good service and material. Sellers with low feedback are not necessarily bad sellers, could be they are just getting started or don't try to sell very often.

What a rip-off. That's a shame. I hope something good does come out of all the duplication.

Another thing I have found that is frustrating when buying kiloware is when the seller says, "a mixture of old and newer stamps" and they show maybe up to 3 or 4 really nice photos of recent newer commemoratives, and everything looks great. Then when you get the bag of stamps, you find that the stuff they didn't show is common old stuff that's not worth the paper it's printed on anymore. And of course if you check the photos you do get every stamp that they show, but there's nothing more in the mix that's worth the effort.
