I'm no longer collecting Carriers & Locals, but this came in a recent lot I won. According to Scott, L02 came with brown gum, and the reprints came without gum. I wouldn't call what this has as brown gum, the dark color on the back looks to be adhesions. Any other identifying marks between the originals and the reprints? Shades perhaps?

I am as lost on these issues as you are. Scott describes 3 reprintings - the first two on hard, white paper (one with ink that fluoresces green), and the third on thick, wove paper. The originals are merely described as being on "wove paper, either white or colored through".

The descriptions leave much to be desired.
