There is also an interesting book published in 1910 about the San Francisco Earthquake. It is called "The Vanished Ruin Era" by Louis J Stellmann. It is filled with lots of photos of the ruins after the quake Horamakhet |

It truly is amazing what is available out there. I am sure that someone could specialize in the earthquake alone with the different postcards that were produced.
