USA Champion Of Liberty 1960.

What would be the right word to call this type of stamp.Imperf or error imperf or is there a particular name for it.The word United states postage is partly on the top and partly at the bottom.Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can call that an error. Looks more like someone took a scissors or paper cutter to a sheet of stamps in an attempt to separate them and didn't quite line up the bottom correctly. Even the side perforations look as if they were cut apart rather than torn apart as you would typically see in most postage stamps. My guess is that someone was trying to separate a large quantity of stamps at one time and this was the end result.

Since a correctly perforated used stamp would have minimum catalog value, this can be considered a damaged stamp and as such is probably of no value other than being a "curiosity".

I agree with wt1. I don't think this is an error. It just looks like someone took a scissors and cut them badly. Unless there were other stamps attached to it to verify the discrepancy wasn't the result of a battle with a pair of scissors, I would say that this is just a damaged stamp.
