To me, this is a great time for stamps- you get to stay inside where it's cool! Wisconsin is also having record-breaking heat. |

I've been working outside this summer as a landscaper, and I can tell you, she's mighty hot out there. Had a few days off because of hot weather. Fortunately, my stamps are here in my basement studio, which happens to be the coolest place in the house (in more ways than one ) so the stamping will carry on, despite the weather. |

Jamesw I do feel for the young guys having to work out in the heat..i am retired so I can work when I chose..but I will never forget the August I was 15 baling hay for 75 cents an hour...they put us youngest guys up under the barn roof stacking hay bales..all I remember is hayseed and sweat...i think about the kids with their ipods nowadays..shame they will never get the work ethic experience that way !! |

I live in Texas, right around Dallas, and lately it has been about 98-101. Not that seems hot to some but I have grown so use to it that I love it. Granted, I like being indoors doing some stamp work, but if I must be outside so be it. Today we reached to a nice 99 degrees!

I helped haying a couple times when I visited. I almost drove the tractor into a ditch so I got to go to the barn after that! |

True Phil. I'm looking pretty fit now, if I do say so myself. Lost the little belly I developed sitting at a computer. Nicest smelling job I've ever had too! |

I work outside from 6.30am to 4pm and during the hottest part of the day this week it's been 105F [40C]. It's tiring but I am used to it after 20 years. Like Spanishmoss, I think it's great to play with stamps indoors where it's cool so no scaling down with the hobby here. The best part of the summer is that I can nip off to the pool after work with one of the grandkids and have fun. Today will be one of those days ! Londonbus1 |

Well one good thing about living in the UK, the weather doesnt affect my stamping at all, because the summer is exactly the same as the winter these days. |
