I know we have a forum for specific items members want to buy but I was wondering if members would like to post general things they would be most interested in seeing up for auction? It might help some of us put together some packages. No obligations to buy whatsoever.
For example, I like to see Air Mails, South Korea, sets, SON's, WWII era to name a few.

"Classic" era U.S... (Pre-1930) That's where all the holes in my albums are.
I also do Federal Duck Stamps. |

Hard to answer as I am a pretty unfocussed collector and flit about - sometimes, I don't know what I want until I see it.... But I would like to see more ww covers, all eras. |

All collectors would certainly love to have very good stamps at very affordable rates in the auctions.
I think that auctions should have very little profit margin. The Seller and the buyer along with all the bidders, should be happy at the end of the auction.
That is what I would like to have in a auction
warm wishes. |

"...I think that auctions should have very little profit margin." ???
It isn't the seller who determines the profit margin, it's the bidders.
The seller's only control is the amount of the opening bid, and that is generally set low enough merely to prevent a loss. I think a "for sale" (at fixed price) works better anyhow, especially where we have such a limited number of bidders for any specific item.
Scouter's idea to post "wants" is a very good idea, and I will take careful note of every poster's interests. |
