Hi again, guess I'm on a roll tonight.

Would a new category named "Varieties" be considered.

I would think any stamp(s) from any country would be listed, and all varieties could be listed in just one place.

Thanks in Advance

David Thompson (Stampmaster)

It sounds like you want a comprehensive stamp listing. Is the purpose to be a quick reference?

I'm not entirely sure what you're requesting. But I can tell you as a general rule, we are reluctant to add new forums.

It's a delicate balance (and always a judgement call) between too-broad and too-narrow topics.

What you describe -- isn't that already happening in the "World Classic" and "World Modern" forums?

We appreciate your feedback.

Hi kirks, understand your concerns.

It was a thought I had late at night. Where all varieties could be listed, for foreign or U.S.A. stamps, but now this morning see I should have waited.

Lets just leave it as it is now.

You can always just create a thread under an existing forum. Was what I posted what you wanted?

I think the folders are fine the way they are. Adding an additional "varieties" folder just adds one more potential place to have to look. Also, sometimes threads not initially about varieties per se end up turning into one as posters respond and more information is learned.

Posting about revenue varieties in the Back of Book section as we currently do is perfectly adequate, in my opinioin.

I agree with Revenuecollector. I like to see varieties posted in their appropriate sections as they generally are now; e.g. Canadian varieties in the Canadian section.
