So is here any price-wise relationship between these? I think the Holyoke MA L-4 HS precancel is more attractive.

I just found this Holyoke precancel. It is the first one discovered on this denomination - after 101 years! Now the only unknown denominations are 50 cent and 1 dollar. It will be listed in the new classics catalog at 40$.

I think the funnest aspect of precancel collecting is the possibility of finding unlisted and unique items.

Chasa, what is that blurred purplish thing on top? Looks like something I saw some 50 years ago; it was in much better shape then!
On your precancel, it says Holyoke, Mass. on the first line. Does it say that on the second line as well? Isn't that kind of unusual?

The purplish thing sold for 9.4+ million dollars last week.
Yes, Holyole Mass is repeated below - it is an unusual local precancel.

Nice precancel. They are a good way to tour the country and learn about dead county and villages. I boughted a lot here on SCF auction and sort them. Something I can add on one day. I ask myself if the Guiana was bought by a collector or investor or both. Daniel

disi - I meant those denominations with that Holyoke precancel. Actually, there are 142 different precancels known on Q10 and 159 on Q11. Needless to say collecting them is fascinating, and challenging.
