Here are two precancels. One is hard to read, the other is inverted. Please comment. Any info is highly appreciated.

I don't see these as precancels. Plus - commemoratives aren't normally issued as precancels.

CanadaStamp...YES...they are precancels.
They are also not commemoratives.....definitives, regular issued.

Someone changed the scans. THose were not the stamps I was commenting on.

LOL, yeah that happens sometimes. The old switcheroo.

Even I admit that in the past I made a post, realized I had uploaded the wrong pic, and then re-uploaded the correct pic.

Also, thanks a lot to khj for telling what the inscription on one of the stamps is.
Any opinions as to the other? I mean its being reversed.

Here's another example of the East Stroudsburg, PA precancel Type 705 on a different denomination stamp of that series (1-1/2c denomination). As you can see a bit better here, the three lines read:

EAST STROUDS-
BURG, PA.



As for the San Antonio, Texas precancel, the precancel is known as an "inverted precancel" because the precancel was printed upside down. Generally, that happened quite often as most were printed locally, so they rarely command any extra value, but it is a collectible variety nonetheless.
