Great New Website On 1861 3c Shades

Didn't thoroughly go through site as yet but have been watching Mr. Daleys ebay items for quite awhile since you posted a link sometime ago. I sent him a quick email of thanks and invite him to join us here sometime as well. I believe his site will be of great assistance to many on this really tough subject of 65's and sister 64's . Having the examples he has and the work he has put in will quickly show just how broad the color shades of rose can be. Thanks to him and also to Ray.Mac for all the help on these issues.

What a fascinating site. It is the most thorough treatment of the colors of this stamp that I have ever seen and should be referred to anyone puzzled by the color of the 3 cent stamp.

What I would not do for some of those shades. Alas, my pockets are not that deep.

Great website! Its amazing to me that the color used in those inks is natural.

Considering all the variables, I'm surprised that the ink-makers got the colors as closely matched as they did.

Thought I'd respond again if only even to get the topic to the top of the list. Enough folks have been involved w this topic and I wanted to make sure they are able to see this.
